#1624 Large 6" Lefton Vintage piano baby bisque figurines set of 2 Boy and Girl.
Vintage large piano baby bisque figurines set of 2 Boy and Girl. Seen listed as Lefton. These do not have any Maker's mark or label. Those with label are marked Lefton Nicely painted, no chips or cracks. Approx 4 x 6.5 inches Weight of pair 850g. During the last two decades of the Victorian era, most well-decorated homes had a shawl on the piano. Bisque figurines of cute little babies were designed to help hold the shawl in place, as well as adding a decorative accent. They were manufactured by numerous companies well into the 20th century and ranged in size from 6 to 18 inches. They are of specific collector interest and referred to by collectors as Piano Babies.
