ANTIQUE 1906 DUGAN GLASS COMPANY PINCHED FORM VASE Designed to replicate an ancient Pompeian vessel Amethyst purple color with iridescent frit hand-blown glass Different lighting plays with the colors on this beauty! (See examples) Shape is four-sided with a rounded rim & base Each side has a concave dimple with ribbed striping on the inside Frit glows softly under both 365n and 395n blacklights Measures about 5-1/2" tall x 4" wide at its widest Weighs about 12 ounces before being packaged to ship Part of Dugan's Pompeian Frit line (sometimes referred to as Venetian frit and/or Poor Man's Tiffany) Dugan Glass Company was only in business from 1905-1913 in Pennsylvania Antiqued gold wooden base is included Overall, very good to excellent antique condition with minor signs of age/use/wear including surface scratches/scuffs. No chips or cracks detected. Minor production flaws are present (to be expected with blown glass).
