Antique Dugan Glass Rose Bowl "Wreath of Roses" Amethyst, Iridescent/Carnival
This antique Dugan Glass Rose Bowl in Amethyst has the "Wreath of Roses" pattern. Dugan started their business in Indiana, Pennsylvania in 1904 and sold it to Diamond Glass in 1913 (which lasted until the early 1930s). This pattern began with Dugan Glass, but it's possible this rose bowl was made by Diamond prior to 1920. Either way, it is a lovely piece of antique carnival glass! The rose bowl features a scalloped rim and embossed roses design. It is 3.5 inches tall and wide and weighs 9.5 ounces. The rose bowl is in great condition, particularly given it is over 100 years old! There are no cracks or wear; there is one small chip on the pedestal (it's hard to see, but you can feel it - see picture 7). The iridescence is in excellent condition.
