Framed print of the iconic "Blue Marble" photograph of Earth 1972

The "Blue Marble" photograph is one of the most widely distributed and iconic images in history, taken on December 7, 1972, by the crew of Apollo 17. It was the first time the entire Earth was visible as a full disc from space, showcasing the planet's beauty and fragility. The image has since become a symbol of environmental awareness and global unity. The photograph was taken from a distance of about 28,000 kilometers (17,000 miles) from the Earth. The lighting conditions allowed for a clear view of Africa, the Arabian Peninsula, and the southern polar ice cap, with the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea clearly visible. The striking contrast between the blue oceans, white clouds, and brown landmasses has made it a powerful visual representation of our planet.
