Large Zuni Corn Maiden Fetish Figurine Hand-Carved Antler Turquoise & Coral•Claudia Peina? Native American•Southwestern Decor 5-5/8” T x 1-5/8” L x 1” W

Elegant, large-scale Native American Zuni Pueblo Corn Maiden fetish carving. Measuring an impressive 5-3/8 inches (5.375") tall, this is a substantial display piece that stands far larger than standard pocket-sized Zuni carvings. This sculpture is expertly hand-carved from a prime piece of natural deer or elk antler. The artist purposefully leaves the rich, textured outer "bark" of the antler intact to form the natural, rustic flowing lines of the maiden's traditional blanket and dress. It is tastefully accented with inlaid turquoise dots along the body and vibrant red coral beads highlighting her necklace and facial features. Its clean, minimalist linework perfectly showcases the natural beauty and color variations of the organic antler medium. A wonderful, clean addition to any Native American art, Southwestern decor, or Zuni fetish collection.
