This is a vintage Ultima Thule glass carafe or pitcher designed by Tapio Wirkkala for Iittala (Finland), originally introduced in 1968.It features a distinctive textured, melting-ice relief surface inspired by the Lapland landscape, crafted using a specialized graphic wood-mold technique.The piece typically stands around 8.5 inches tall with a capacity of roughly 17 oz, and often retains the iconic red-and-white Iittala paper label. It is a highly prized pitcher with unique mid century design. Excellent condition, appears to have never been used.
