Mounted Purple Spotted Swallowtail Butterfly Signed Sam Trophia Acrylic Box
This mounted butterfly is in good condition. There are some small pieces that seem to have collected inside the case, which I assume came from the butterfly, but you would never know there is anything missing from the butterfly, so not 100% sure. Please see pictures for specific details. There is a hole on the back of the box for hanging. There are two rubber "feet" on the back to protect the wall. The box measures approximately 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" x 3 1/4" deep. The butterfly is approximately 2 1/2" tall x 2 1/4" wide. Sam Trophia is known as the butterfly man of the US. His butterfly sanctuary is located in key West. This butterfly is the Graphium Weiskei, the purple spotted swallowtail. It is found only in the highlands of New Guinea and live in elevations of 4500-8000 feet.
