This specific matte white finish is known as "Moonglo". Van Briggle is famous for these satiny, soft-textured glazes, which were originally inspired by Chinese Ming Dynasty pottery. The streamlined, Art Nouveau-influenced form is characteristic of the studio's early and mid-20th-century aesthetic.
