Vintage Brown Glaze Stoneware Crock With Wire Bail And Seal (No Lid)

Crock has a rich brown glaze typical of vintage pottery used for cheese or butter. It is 4” tall, with a 3” opening. The wire bail mechanism and terra cotta-colored sealing ring suggest it was designed for airtight food storage. Made by various manufacturers, this one has no mark. No chips or cracks. Wire bail has a bit of corrosion.
