Vintage Italian Green Bisque Porcelain Eagle & Stars Trinket Box – 4”

Unusual vintage Italian bisque porcelain covered trinket box featuring a rich olive/sage green ground with raised white relief decoration.

The removable lid is centered with a dramatic white eagle in flight, surrounded by individual raised white stars and a delicate rope-style border. Matching stars continue around the sides of the round box, creating a striking Federal / Neoclassical-inspired appearance.

The underside is marked ITALY and PORCELAIN BISCUIT, along with a stylized maker or decorator’s mark.

Condition: Vintage pre-owned condition with visible age and use. There is surface wear, scuffing and finish loss, particularly to the underside. The interior shows substantial residue/adhesive-type remnants and surface wear from prior use. Please review all photographs carefully. I would leave the interior exactly as found rather than attempting aggressive cleaning.

Despite the wear, this is a wonderfully decorative little piece with an unusual combination of Italian porcelain craftsmanship and American Federal-style imagery. Great for a trinket-box collection, Americana display, desk, vanity or curio cabinet.
