Charming vintage Japanese miniature amphora-style vase featuring a matte powder-blue ground with raised white Neoclassical relief decoration.

This petite vase measures approximately 3.5 inches tall and features a wonderful classical form with two squared handles, rounded shoulder, pedestal base and flared upper rim.

The front is decorated with an applied white relief depicting a classical kneeling figure beside an urn, along with an additional stylized white botanical motif decorating the neck.

Its blue-and-white color palette and applied classical decoration give it the wonderful appearance of Jasperware-inspired pottery, while its tiny size makes it especially appealing for a miniature collection, curio cabinet or vintage vignette.
