I'm a retired teacher trying to clean out my house of all the stuff accumulated from four generations of my family. My goal in life is to not leave a mess for my family to clean up after I die! I've sold on other platforms for a few years now, but after watching Joselyn's videos I decided to try NikNax. I love to see thrifting videos since I've always shopped at thrift stores, passing on that love to my daughter. I also love to see what others have to sell and have been known to buy some things that I just can't pass up, of course adding to more "stuff." All of my items come from a smoke-free home. We have one cat that I try to keep away from things that I'm selling, especially clothing or other items that could collect cat dander.

Vintage Linen Tablecloth with Six Napkins - Yellow and black stripes on white
I found this tablecloth and napkin set at my father's house (pet and smoke free) after he passed. It had been stored away in a buffet drawer. I don't remember it being used when I was growing up in the 1950s and 1960s, but he and his wife did inherit a lot of stuff from other relatives, so it could have been from one of them. It appears as if it had very little use. I washed it in my machine on a gentle cycle and ironed on the linen setting. I'm assuming this is 100% linen from the look and feel but it could be a linen cotton blend. I didn't find any stains or holes. I did find some fraying along the edges of the tablecloth and two of the six napkins. Another napkin has the seam pulling apart in a corner which would be an easy fix. The pictures show these flaws. I also found a small bit of fraying along an edge of the table cloth (see picture). There are several "slubs" common of linen material that you can see in the pictures. Because of the fraying and age of these I would suggest either dry cleaning or washing carefully on a delicate setting. Measurements: The table cloth measures approximately 52" x 66" and the napkins measure approximately 15" square. The middle white rectangular section is approximately 31" X 48" (about a 10" drop if you wanted all of the stripes below the table. My table is oblong and the picture taken of it spread on my table shows how it would look on a similar table. Please feel free to ask questions!
