Has two chips that have been colored over and some glaze color wear along the edges due to age and use. Model #3054. Maddux of California was a prolific mid-century pottery manufacturer founded in Los Angeles in the late 1930s by William Maddux. Known for TV lamps, planters, and glossy, brightly colored animal figurines (such as flamingos, deer, and parakeets), the company was a staple of California pottery. Pieces are often marked "Maddux of California," "Wm. Maddux," or by model numbers from the 1950s–1960s era.
