Vintage Thorens Switzerland Musical Jewelry Box Red Velvet Leatherette. 50s 60s

A vintage musical jewelry box, most likely manufactured by Thorens in Switzerland around the mid-20th century. It features a classic burgundy leatherette or faux leather exterior decorated with detailed gold leaf filigree patterns along the edges and a central emblem on the lid. in very good condition. Measures 10" wide by 7" deep. From the 50s 60s era.

The prominent brass front plate includes a slide latch mechanism, a central keyhole, and a small winding/control knob on the right. When opened, these boxes typically reveal a velvet- interior split into storage sections, alongside an integrated mechanical music box movement. You wind up the box on the bottom and it plays "Some Enchanted Evening". Made in Switzerland
