Vintage Venetian Wedding Cake Glass Bead Necklace Fiorato Black Gold Foil Italy. 19" long. Some wear on hook and some patina on metal. These lampwork beads are known as Fiorato meaning flowered or wedding cake beads. Dark glass beads are layered with rich gold aventurine foils, paired with three dimensional raised glass details resembling frosting rosettes, forget me nots and dots. Popular souvenirs during the Grand Tour era and throughout the 1920s-1950s.
