#0087 An Adam Jablonski art glass paperweight with suspended flower sculpture Signed 5 x 3.5”

No chips or cracks

Adam Jablonski created advanced art glass sculptures in Poland, working extensively through the latter half of the twentieth century. He became internationally renowned for encapsulating intricate glass flowers, metallic inclusions, and air bubbles within flawless optical crystal. The creation process required master-level hot glass manipulation, where molten glass encased delicate coloured canes and shaped them into vivid botanical forms.

These decorative paperweights were displayed on executive desks and in modern interiors to showcase the brilliance of studio glass craftsmanship. They were produced by carefully layering hot clear glass over pre-formed coloured elements before blowing and hand-polishing the final mass into a magnifying dome. Modern manufacturing techniques eventually shifted toward mass-produced novelty items, but individual studio pieces by master glassblowers remained distinct works of art.
