Ming "Bling Bird"

These tiny little birds are handmade from UV resin and bits of baubles and bling from my craft jewelry pile or whatever else I can throw in. No two are alike. Meet: Ming Ming takes her name from the legendary blue-and-white porcelain of China’s Ming Dynasty (1368–1644), when cobalt blue designs on bright white pottery became treasured around the world. Like those timeless pieces, this little bird celebrates the elegance and storytelling tradition of classic blue-and-white chinoiserie. This gal is made with a blue seed bead beak, a white head from my craftpile. Her tailfeathers are a handmade white cabochon. She is resting on a nest that is the lid from a mini teapot. That blue and white color made famous from the Ming Dynasty. These birds are great to buy for yourself or to bring joy to someone else as a small little gift. Note there may be air bubbles on the inside and outside due to the nature of the process. Just gives the birds character. Approx 2"x1"
