1970s Murano Sommerso Sleeping Swan Sculptural Paperweight Figurine - 4” x 4” x 3” 2lbs - UV Reactive Glow

Large Mid-Century Murano Sommerso Sleeping Bird Sculpture, c. 1960s–70s. Exceptional heavy solid-glass resting bird with its head and neck tucked into the body, executed in ruby-red and UV-reactive amber/yellow glass submerged beneath thick clear crystal. Approximately 4" × 4" and nearly 2 lb. Italian/Murano; possibly associated with the Cenedese/Antonio Da Ros tradition of stylized sommerso animal sculpture, maker presently unconfirmed. Excellent condition with only slate and minor scratching to base as can be seen in photos.
