Antique Figural Christmas Eight Light Bulbs String Hand Painted Working A1078

Early figural Christmas light string with eight hand-painted molded character covers in assorted novelty forms. The set uses a double-string arrangement with black sockets and green electrical cord, and it is currently working as shown in the photos. The figures retain their aged hand-painted finish with the charming wear expected from an early holiday light set. No maker or country-of-origin mark is visible, so I would not attribute the set to Poland without further evidence. Size: Each figural bulb approximately 1.87"–2 1/4"; double strings approximately 60" long Era: Circa 1930s–1940s-- Condition: Working vintage condition with age-related paint loss, surface wear, scratches and discoloration. Cord, sockets and plugs show age and use. Vintage electrical components should be inspected before extended use. Retail price: $189.95
