This antique Victorian Chatalene clip was used to secure small items and useful tools ie: such as a small change purse, a thimble, a whistle, a pair of scissors or a buttonhook to the waist of a skirt or a belt. This one is made of German silver which is composed of three major elements Copper, Zinc and Nickel.
