Authentic Native American Navajo Horsehairzpottery Dog - Hand Crafted

The smokey, dark lines are placed with strands of horsehair onto the hot ceramic surface as it comes out of the kiln. This causes the hair to search into the clay. The geometric pattern etched into its back represents Southwestern and Navajo cultural symbols. Small pieces of turquoise are inlaid to form the puppies eyes. Signed TVail Jr. A recognized Navajo Nation ceramic artist. There are some exposed white clay marks on the bottom. Please see photos. Horsehair is unglazed. The outer surface is delicate. 4" long, 3" wide and 1 3/4" deep.
