Avoir Pottery Stoneware Salt & Pepper Shaker Set Volcano Blue Tall 5.5” High
FROM THE ARTIST'S WEBSITE: A functional and beautiful set of stoneware salt and pepper shakers. This set was hand built by myself off of the potters wheel. I hand make these with slabs and extrusions, NOT MOLDS!!! To create these shakers it is actually more time consuming and meticulous then making a set on the wheel. Working on pieces off of the wheel help me break up my time and get nice needed break from the continual spinning surface I stare at so often. Each shaker is similar in height and color, however differentiating hole patterns on the top help you separate the salt from the pepper. My suggestion.... whatever you use more of, put in the shaker with the five holes! The Volcano Blue glaze combination has an earth toned deep bluish grey body, overflowed by a dripping rim of deep iridescent color. This glaze combination takes a simple shade and gives it incredible depth through a pouring crystalline boarder of indescribable shades. Want to mix things up? Feel free to custom order a set with 2 different colors (usually in stock) or custom order a set in different heights. Approximately 1 1/4 inches in diameter by 5 1/2 inches in height. All my stoneware is food, dishwasher and microwave safe. Salt and Pepper is securely held in each shaker by tightly fitted rubber plugs (in the bottom). The piece pictured is a representation of my form in the style and glaze and is for reference only. It is not the exact piece you will be receiving. Each piece will vary slightly because they are individually thrown and fired. If you would like a pic of the exact piece that we are going to ship you, please feel free to ask! ... in the note section, when you order. All of my pieces are stamped/signed with my official pottery mark. AVIOR Pottery by Michael Fillus Sherman
