Follette Pottery bowl strainer cream blue signed by the artist 8” squarish 3.25” tall Kent Follette studio pottery bowl, a signature creation of Louisiana-based artist Kent Follette.Handcrafted from wheel-thrown stoneware, these bowls feature Follette's recognizable "split" glaze style, which combines a deep cobalt or teal blue with a contrasting cream or off-white base. The floral motifs, often described as irises, violets, or pansies, are hand-painted before firing. Artist and Style Artist: Kent Follette established Follette Pottery in 1980 in north Louisiana. Influences: Having spent part of his childhood in Japan, Follette's work is heavily influenced by Japanese ceramic traditions, which can be seen in the organic shapes and minimalist floral designs.
