Scarce, Grolier Disney Porcelain DUMBO 2012 Christmas Ornament NIB. Walt Disney’s Dumbo was released in 1941 and quickly won over audiences with its heartwarming tale of a jumbo-eared baby elephant and his search for love and acceptance. After taking home awards for Best Animation and Best Original Music, Dumbo went on to become one of Disney’s most time-honored classics. Our 2012 ornament celebrates one of the most memorable scenes from the film: Dumbo playfully enjoying a bath in a makeshift wooden tub. The barrel is adorned with holly and festive garland for the holidays, his signature ears draping over the sides. All the charm of the movie and all the character of its star are captured in the hand-painted details of this original porcelain-art sculpture, from the delicate lashes on his eyes… to the sudsy bubbles overflowing the tub… and ripples of water that spout from his upturned trunk.
