Add a touch of handcrafted folk charm to your collection with this unique pair of vintage studio pottery owl figures, dated April 18, 1977. Hand-incised with the maker's signature "MUSHIE" and the date "4/18/77" on the base of one piece. These charming horned creatures showcase wonderful textured details, distinct feather carvings, and a speckled earth-tone glaze with white and toasted caramel accents. Item Details & Condition: Size: Left owl- 5” x 6-3/4” W x 4” D ; Right owl- 5-1/4” x 5” W x 4” D Weighs: Left owl- 1 lb 3 oz. ; Right owl- 1 lb 1 oz. Condition: Please note minor expected flaws from the firing process: Left owl has a small manufacturing glaze/firing crack on top of head. It also is missing part of bottom beak. See last 2 close-up photos. Right owl has a glaze skip on right side which can be seen in 2nd photo. A wonderful collector's piece for mid-century modern, folk art, or vintage pottery enthusiasts!
