Indiana Glass Diamond Point Hostess Plate 10" Iridescent Amber Carnival 1970s (0277-25)
Catch the light with this — and it transforms from warm amber to violet to emerald green in an instant. Indiana Glass produced their Diamond Point pattern beginning in 1965, with the iridescent carnival version appearing in the 1970s as part of their Contemporary Carnival revival line. The #1263 Crimped Hostess Plate is one of the most striking pieces in the series: a shallow bowl ringed by an intricate all-over diamond lattice, a starburst medallion center, and a boldly ruffled and crimped rim that throws rainbows across any surface it touches. This is American pressed glass at its most decorative — substantial, photogenic, and deeply collectible. - Material: Iridescent pressed amber glass — Indiana Glass "Iridescent Gold" colorway - Pattern: Diamond Point — catalog #1263 Crimped Hostess Plate, mold-attributed to Indiana Glass Company, USA - Dimensions: 10" diameter × 1.75" height, Weight: 1 lb 15 oz - Condition: Excellent. No chips, cracks, or repairs. Minor surface wear consistent with age and display use. - Care: Hand wash only; avoid stacking to protect the iridescent finish Set it where light can find it — window shelf, dining table centerpiece, or displayed flat on a stand. IMPORTANT NOTE: At Darling Della Vintage, we believe every scratch and bit of patina tells a story. Our pieces are 30+ years old and have lived full lives, so gentle wear, tiny chips, or age-worn charm are part of their soul — not flaws. We photograph and describe each item carefully, but please expect natural signs of age. Embracing vintage means embracing history — and we wouldn't have it any other way.
