Large Vintage Studio Art Pottery Platter Signed Cindy 2004 Iridescent Abalone

This Unique Large Biomorphic Studio Art Pottery Serving Platter/ Centerpiece Tray/Bowl/Console/Or Display Is Hand-signed by Cindy and dated “2004” on the unglazed stoneware base. Measuring to be approximately 16.5” X 16” in length and width. The production style is completely Hand-built stoneware of a clay slab construction featuring an organic, flowing biomorphic quatrefoil shape with wavy, undulating rims. Surface texture features a decorative impressed combining tracks and hand-chattered liner textures across the face of the clay body. The finish and color is coated in a stunning Simi iridescent metallic luster glaze. The finish beautifully mimics a polished abalone shell, shifting dynamically in the light with rich tones of oil spot olive green, coppery gold, and deep violet. It is in excellent vintage studio condition with no chips, cracks, or fleabites. It does have a rich, high-fire iron spotting visible on the raw underside clay body. It is a gorgeous coastal-boho statement centerpiece tray, perfect for a dinner table, entry console, or art pottery display collection.
