I'm a retired teacher trying to clean out my house of all the stuff accumulated from four generations of my family. My goal in life is to not leave a mess for my family to clean up after I die! I've sold on other platforms for a few years now, but after watching Joselyn's videos I decided to try NikNax. I love to see thrifting videos since I've always shopped at thrift stores, passing on that love to my daughter. I also love to see what others have to sell and have been known to buy some things that I just can't pass up, of course adding to more "stuff." All of my items come from a smoke-free home. We have one cat that I try to keep away from things that I'm selling, especially clothing or other items that could collect cat dander.

Mannequin Retractable Steel Tape Measure/Pin Cushion Roleff Plastics AS IS

I've had this tape measure with my sewing supplies since I was a teenager in the 1960s. I don't think I ever used it for the purpose but just moved it with me every time I moved, hence the box is pretty banged up. I think this came in the big box of samples that we used to get to sell. I wish I could remember more about how all of that worked but I do remember this and a few other items I still have coming from one of these boxes. It may have been from selling punch cards? The body of the tape measure is black plastic in the shape of a mannequin. Sadly, the sleeve hole area on one side is missing a cover. I tore apart every box, tub, jar and sewing container I have and did not find it. Apparently, it got lost in one of the moves. The tape is 36" steel with a gold plastic knob and works as it should although it doesn't hold the measure as many measuring tapes do (it doesn't snap in place). The bottom twists off to reveal a felt circle meant to store a few needles or pins although I would hesitate to call it a "pin cushion." See pictures. The label is Roleff Plastics Inc, New York. I see other similar ones being sold that have plastic measuring tapes so I assume there were iterations of this style. Please feel free to ask questions!
