Hi, I'm Cynthia. I am a shop owner on multiple platforms with 20+ years of experience. I do everything within my power, including packing with great care and shipping fully insured, to get your "thing of beauty" to you safely. I have recently moved to the mountains of eastern Tennessee where I find my treasures and offer them to you, the beholder. I hope you will find your "thing of beauty" here. I was raised in a home where bone china, silver and fine crystal were both used and appreciated. This translated into a love of antiques and handmade items of similar quality. I love the journey that leads me to these beautiful things and I hope you will enjoy my "finds" as much as I have enjoyed finding them. Sandro Guzzi Italian Pottery Large Belly Pitcher Bird in Yellow Medallion w Black Striped Handle Signed Tuscan - Italy
Gorgeous rustic pottery belly pitcher which I believe is by the Sandro Guzzi studio in Italy, could also be Portuguese. I found another by them with a rabbit that was almost identical. The background glaze is ivory which is typically from the region of Tuscany. It features a long legged bird in orange and blue on a bright yellow central medallion surrounded by a decorative border in navy. It has black and orange trim around the rim and medallion and a black striped handle. It is signed at the base of the handle CAR. It is rustic in manufacture as well as design, because it is hand made & hand painted the painting is not precise and there are rough spots in the clay under the glaze. All of this is deliberate to how the item was made. Size: 5.25 inches w x 8 inches h. Measurements are approx. and do not include handle. Condition: Excellent, I am not seeing any chips or cracks. Keats said "A thing of beauty is a joy forever". Each of us has a different idea of what "beauty" is. I find unique vintage items and offer them to you, the beholder. Is this your thing of beauty?
