Michael Nourot (1949–2015) was a renowned American studio glass artist who co-founded the influential Nourot Glass Studio in Benicia, California, in 1974 with his wife, Ann Corcoran. A pioneer in the American studio glass movement, he trained under masters in Murano, Italy, and was among the first students at the Pilchuck Glass School. He was known for his vibrant, often red-toned, hand-blown art glass, including the signature "Scarlet Nova" series
