Signed Josef Marcolin Italian Hand Blown Art Glass Sculpture of a Standing Cat. This features the Fumato Sommerso Technique which is very difficult to achieve with consistency. Dated 1982. Josef and Benito Marcolin were Murano Trained artist that moved to Sweden post WWII they opened their own factory in the late 1950's then closed and moved back to Italy in 1981 where they started a new factory returning to their Italian glass making roots. This piece dates from after the move back to Italy and has all the hallmarks of a Murano trained artist. This is 8.5 inches tall and 6.5 inches long and 2.75 inches wide. This is preowned. No Chips cracks or flea bites barely any signs of wear on base. The base is polished to high clear shine. Signed with the Josef Marcolin mark dated 1982. Made in Sardinia Italy . Near Mint Condition.
