Beautiful vintage sage/olive green jasperware-style decorative plate, featuring elaborate raised white relief decoration and a wonderful hand-inscribed dedication dated May 1957.

The approximately 6.5-inch plate features a classical draped female figure in the center surrounded by an exceptionally ornate border of grape clusters, curling vines, leaves and dimensional floral motifs. Openwork loops incorporated around the scalloped edge add even more visual interest and give this piece a particularly decorative appearance.

The reverse has been personally inscribed:

“To our Beloved Neighbors FROM The WILLIAMS MAY – 1957 AMW”

This charming inscription gives the piece a known period and a wonderful glimpse into its personal history — apparently presented as a treasured gift between neighbors nearly 70 years ago.
