Designed to hold a standard taper candle in the center hole, and can also accommodate a wider pillar or votive candle in the top bow or flip over and use as a candy or nut bowl. No chips, cracks, or scratches. There is some yellowing as seen in the picture The hole for the traper size candle is a bit wider than a normal taper and would need to have something to help it stick
