This item is a vintage faux scrimshaw trinket box featuring a black leaf and geometric triangle pattern. While designed to look like historic whalebone or ivory, pieces matching this exact design were typically produced in Great Britain using a high-density, weighted faux-ivory resin. Approximately 2” tall and 2.25” diameter with minor surface wear , patina and scratches.
