This is a beautiful vintage J.F. Daniel (Jean Francois Daniel) signed French Pottery bowl, possibly Vallauris. This is a large serving bowl with a ruffled edge. This has a beautiful floral design with a rustic feel to it. The paint is raised or done in relief and reminds me of majolica. This has a yellow background with lovely rust / orange and brown flowers with light green leaves and dark green accents. This also has a reddish orange splatter pattern in the background. The ruffle is trimmed in the dark green. This is hand signed on the bottom JF. Daniel and has a stamped France mark. This is in wonderful condition without any chips, cracks, or crazing/crackling. I do see what looks like a possible tiny scuff or maybe glaze bubble that burst during firing. These are two pinhead size areas without color. See pictures for more detail. This measures 12 ¼” in diameter by 3 ½” tall.
