It features a floral still-life miniature painting on its octagonal lid. Styled in the tradition of Russian lacquer miniature art (such as the Fedoskino or Palekh schools), characterized by a high-gloss black finish and delicate gold scrollwork framing.It serves as a decorative trinket or jewelry box, typically handcrafted from papier-mâché and layered lacquer. Red interior in excellent condition. Some crackling on lid as seen in photos, otherwise very good condition.
