No chips or cracks Westmoreland Glass Company was a prominent American glass manufacturer known for its high-quality pressed and blown glassware, particularly milk glass. Founded in 1889 in Grapeville, Pennsylvania, the company produced a wide array of decorative and functional items, becoming a favorite among collectors for its intricate designs and durable craftsmanship. The Paneled Grape pattern, introduced in the late 19th century, is one of their most recognizable and sought-after designs. The Paneled Grape pattern features raised grape clusters and leaves within distinct vertical panels, creating a textured and visually appealing surface. This particular vase, often referred to as a "swung" vase due to its elongated, slender form achieved by swinging the molten glass, is a classic example of Art Nouveau-inspired glass art. The scalloped rim and the opalescent quality of the milk glass further enhance its decorative appeal, making it a popular item for display.
