Small paint loss - easily retouched. James Kent Ltd. was a prominent English pottery manufacturer based in Longton, Staffordshire, a region renowned for its ceramic industry. The company operated under various names, including "Old Foley," and produced a wide array of decorative and functional ceramics from the late 19th century into the latter half of the 20th century. Their "Old Foley" line, in particular, was known for its vibrant glazes and decorative transfer-printed designs, often featuring floral motifs and scenic views. Souvenir items like this plate, commemorating popular tourist destinations, were a significant part of their output, catering to the growing demand for travel mementos during the mid-20th century.
