Striking art glass bud vase featuring a tall, slender clear glass stem rising from a substantial deep amethyst/plum glass base.

In ordinary indoor lighting, the base appears extremely dark—almost black—but when illuminated or placed in natural light, it reveals a beautiful rich amethyst, plum and cranberry-purple color. Small suspended bubbles within the colored glass add depth and visual interest.

The base has a softly lobed, organic form that gives the vase a sculptural quality even when displayed without flowers. Its narrow opening is ideal for displaying a single flower, dried stem or small botanical clipping.
