I believe this is a vintage butterscotch Bakelite(?) Empoli style apothecary jar with lid and is a rare find from the mid-century modern era.

Handmade in about the 1950s, this round jar features a glossy finish and one compartment. With a height of approximately 6.5 inches and a depth of 7.5 inches, it is a unique piece that adds a touch of retro charm to any decor.
